Frequently Asked Questions

What kind of care do you offer?

As a licensed Naturopathic Doctor, I diagnose and prescribe treatment through herbal medicine, nutritional therapy, physical examinations, lab testing, patient education, and pharmaceuticals.

My specialization is in CranioSacral Therapy and SomatoEmotional Release, a hands-on system of care that helps treat pain, dysfunction, and chronic patterns by working with the body's rhythms, interconnected systems, and alignment. Emotions or images are often experienced during hands-on treatments. SomatoEmotional Release is a process of gently engaging with these as they arise to more fully resolve chronic patterns in a safe, grounded way that avoids dissociation and retraumatization.

Do you accept insurance?

Nope, I work directly with and for you. To keep my prices low and my treatment accessible, I have cut all ties with insurance companies and ended all contracts.

I routinely send out superbills after each visit. You can submit these to your insurance to request reimbursement, depending on your coverage.

How much do your visits cost?

  • New Patient Visits - 90-minutes $180

  • Follow-up visits - 60-minutes: $120

  • Follow-up visits - 90-minutes: $180

  • Follow-up visits - 120 minutes: $240

  • Video check-in - 30-minutes: $60 - must physically be in Oregon

  • 1:1 tutoring - $120/hour

  • Public study group sessions: $50 per seat

  • Private study group sessions: $120/hour - does not include travel time if I come to you

All visit costs are included in the above prices, except for the purchase of a new still point inducer or an individualized flower essence. I do not sell supplements from my office and do my best to recommend treatments you can easily purchase at a local grocery store or health food store.

To keep my prices low, I also encourage payment through cash, personal check, or bank transfer (Venmo or Zelle). If you choose to pay with a card, a $5 transaction fee will be added to your visit total.

Do you offer a sliding scale?

Yes. I'd like you to please begin the evaluation process for a 6-month sliding-scale discount contract by completing my application form.

My Sliding Scale Tiers are based on income and follow the Multnomah County Living Wage calculations through MIT:

  • 0% discount - at or above living wage

  • 15% discount - between living wage and minimum wage

  • 25% discount - between minimum wage and poverty wage

  • 40% discount - at or below poverty wage

I am also a practitioner for the Heal-It-Forward program, generously sponsored by the John D Upledger Foundation. Through this program, you can apply for vouchers that are valid for up to 4 visits at no cost to you, and I am reimbursed with credits toward my next Upledger Class (don’t worry, I won’t run out of classes I wish to take!).

What is your cancellation policy?

Cancel 24 hours before your visit to avoid fees. My cancellation fee is $60.

If an emergency happens, please call me as soon as you can, and we will apply the $60 fee to your next visit.

Do you work with…?

If you believe your situation is truly unique, please schedule a free 15-minute inquiry video call to discuss it. Otherwise, the answer is almost always yes.

I work with children and adults.

I can also accommodate most alternative positioning needs. My building is wheelchair-compliant, with no steps, accessible parking, an automatic front door, large, accessible restrooms, and an ample waiting area. Larger mobility devices may have difficulty navigating the passage between the waiting area and my treatment room, and I do not have a lift for transition to my massage table. Please contact me if you have any questions.

Can CranioSacral Therapy or Naturopathic Medicine help with…

Yes. Both types of care treat you as a whole person. Your illness is part of you, so this care can help your body cope with it and potentially recover. But depending on the nature of your illness, how long you have had it, and the extent of tissue change, they may not meet all your needs. It is important that you continue to work with a primary care provider and any specialists you are referred to. Consider me another member of your health care team.

Do you offer house calls?

I offer house calls in specific situations where a patient is homebound or when multiple people are beign treated. The minimum visit duration for these visits is 2 hours and travel time will be added to the price. I will be unable to bring a treatment table to your home, so a reasonable treatment area will need to be provided. This can include a bed, a massage table, or a reclining chair. I will be able to bring my own treatment stool. To schedule a house call, please reach out to me directly to discuss details.
