Hello,

My name is Dr. Danielle Currey, and I look forward to meeting you.

But first, you may like to know a bit about me. I am a first-generation college graduate, partner, and a mother of two adults. I have lived with psoriasis and psoriatic arthritis since childhood, and I have been living in NW Oregon since I started high school in 1995. I live here in Gresham with my family, including our pup Yarrow, cat Myrtle, and bunny Honey. My path to becoming a doctor was guided by my experience as a patient with a hard-to-treat condition, my love of science, especially anatomy, and my early career in long-term care. I pride myself on my bedside manner, my patience, and my trust in the healing process. As you can see from my image collage above, my health has changed drastically over the years. In that time, I have defied prognoses, had major setbacks, and never given up on myself. I want you to know that your health is not a destination nor is it a reward for good behavior.

In addition to my passion for working one-on-one with patients, I am also enthusiastic about helping fellow CranioSacral Therapists deepen their practice. As a Upledger registered Study Group leader and TA, I pride myself on my ability to make complex information easier to understand and help you adapt your technique to get you out of your head, into your hands, and into the experience of being a cooperative partner to the inner wisdom of each person who comes to your table looking for relief.

When I’m not in the clinic or in a CranioSacral therapy class, I can be found crafting with herbs, foods, or yarn, exploring nature as a fair-weather gardener and hiker, skimming through multiple books, attending a yin yoga class at Rising Tide, studying astrology, playing board games with my family, getting onto a treatment table, or attending to the many other chores of existence.
