Hello,

My name is Dr. Danielle Currey, and I look forward to meeting you.

Let me share a bit about myself. I am a first-generation college graduate, a partner, and a mother to two grown children. I've lived with psoriatic arthritis since childhood and have lived in NW Oregon since starting high school in 1995. I live in Gresham with my family, including our dog Yarrow, cat Myrtle, and bunny Honey. My path to becoming a doctor was shaped by my experiences as a patient with a challenging condition, my love of science—especially anatomy—and my early work in long-term care. I take pride in my bedside manner, patience, and trust in the healing process. As shown in my photo collage above, my health has changed significantly over the years. During this time, I have defied prognoses, faced major setbacks, and never lost faith in myself. I want you to understand that health is neither a destination nor a reward for good behavior.

In addition to my passion for working one-on-one with patients, I am enthusiastic about helping fellow CranioSacral Therapists deepen their practice. As a Upledger-registered Study Group leader and TA, I pride myself on making complex information easier to understand and on helping you adapt your technique so you can get out of your head, into your hands, and experience being a cooperative partner to the inner wisdom of each person who comes to your table seeking relief.

When I’m not in the clinic or in a CranioSacral therapy class, I can be found crafting with herbs, foods, or yarn, exploring nature as a fair-weather gardener and hiker, skimming through multiple books, volunteering or attending a yoga class at Rising Tide, studying astrology, playing board games with my family, getting onto a treatment table, or attending to the many other chores of existence.
